Understanding these four concepts will help you get the most out of Kortshut.

Clipboard Intelligence

Kortshut doesn't just see raw text—it understands what's on your clipboard. When you copy something, Kortshut automatically detects the type of content (article text, code, URL, email, etc.) and suggests relevant actions.

This means you don't have to tell Kortshut what to do with different types of content. Copy a block of Python code, and actions like "explain this code" or "add comments" become available. Copy a long article, and "summarize" appears at the top.

The clipboard becomes contextually aware, not just a temporary storage space.

Quick Actions

Quick Actions are pre-configured AI tasks you can run instantly. They're the building blocks of how you work with Kortshut.

Each action does one thing well:

You can also create your own custom actions. If you find yourself running the same prompt repeatedly, turn it into a Quick Action and run it with a few keystrokes.

Context Awareness

Kortshut remembers your recent clipboard history and can work with multiple pieces of content at once. This means you can copy several things in sequence, then combine or reference them in a single action.

For example:

  1. Copy a customer message
  2. Copy your company's tone guidelines
